Tin Bida den tur Skina is a short creative documentary that forms part of the project Emanstraat #39. It tells the socio-cultural history behind the façade design of the building that is located in Oranjestad on John G. Emanstraat #39. Offering a peephole into the beginning of Aruba's fight for autonomy, this work is an ode to the Aruban identity and to a small island's journey towards self-definition.

 

Emanstraat #39 is commisioned by BK Consult in collaboration with Metadecor Nederland.

Yubismo tells the story behind the life and art of one of Curaçao’s most celebrated and influential modern artists: Yubi Kirindongo. 
Known for his reuse of obsolete materials, Yubi Kirindongo left his mark on both the Curaçaoan and International art world, by embodying the simple complexity, sensitive rigidity, and harsh beauty of Curaçaoan reality in his artworks.

SYBA tells the story of a boy who catches a mysterious object while out fishing. It leads him to the depths of the sea, where he meets the beings of the abyss, who take him in as one of their own. As the boy grows, so does his ambition to return to the surface. What starts off as a liberating journey back to the familiar superficial, quickly turns into a spectacle of unattainable high ideals. When the boy becomes a man he finally decides to return to the sea, only to find out that he had waited too long.

In de driedelige podcast, Floating Bridges wordt er licht geworpen op Curaçao’s autonome status binnen het Nederlandse Koninkrijk. Tijdens hun onderzoek, gaan Lusette Verboom en Stephanie van Heijningen gesprekken aan met verschillende experts in hun vak, om na te gaan of de autonome status van Curaçao, ruim 10 jaar sinds haar inwerkingtreding, gevolgen heeft gehad op de politieke, economische en sociaal-culturele werkelijkheid op het eiland. Het doel van Floating Bridges is om gesprekken en creative expressie over de ontwikkelingen op het eiland te stimuleren, zodat de kloof tussen kunst en de nieuwe werkelijkheid overbrugt kan worden.
